The day that Hugo and I decided to visit Balboa Park was the day that all the museums were free and many, several children's events were going on. It was a giant, sunny, Spanish flavoured, gorgeous daycare center. I went in to see Hugo's gallery show and after walking around a bit we just had to get out of that mass of people. A few thousand people were coming and going... We would have visited the San Diego Zoo but the entrance tickets cost so much and neither of us were feeling generous enough towards the establishment at the time to justify paying the admission.
