I thought it more than fitting that we should visit the oldest
cemetery in Rosartio. It is entirely a family plot because of all the
intermarriages. It was a trash pile from celebratory remnants of
November 2nd's Day of the Dead. The tombs were falling apart and dogs
over ran the place, but to me the place was beautiful. The dead
weren't kept away like museum pieces. The area was sacred but
accessible like you wouldn't feel that it was taboo to shout and laugh
at stupid jokes. And there was no lock on the gate. More cemeteries
should be like this.
