Copy, Artemis

Some very well cared for human beings flew around the moon this month. I was right there with live-stream of the astronauts as much as I could be enjoying the glitchy feeds, relating hard with the cramped living quarters and... waste management issues. When people go camping they don’t think much about where to put all the shit. It’s natural. It can go in the Nature. Or in the vacuum of space. But what do you do when you have limited resources and are camping out in an urban environment that is all pavement, security cameras, limited privacy, and limited toilet usage? And what ever nature that is available is precious and will be protected from being used as a toilet– I should add. This was one of my logistics nightmares when I was one of the unhoused, living in a van in Williamsburg, Brooklyn back in the Hipster days. Solid waste was by far easier to deal with. One can evacuate into a bag and drop that off in a trash can as one does with dog waste. Liquid waste was more interesting to...

Noticeable Improvement!

Photo by Icons8 I was told- to my face- without any alternative tests being done, that all my results were bogus and that I could not possibly have brucellas abortus or Salmonella. Why?  Because. I. didn't. look. sick.  I didn't have a fever.  So what if my spleen was enlarged and my left kidney showed signs of infection, eh?  That's clearly nothing concerning. Well, after TWENTY ONE days of antibiotic treatment- prescribed by a real infectologist (internist) who wasn't inconvenienced by a patient seeking help- I finally feel like a functional person.  So.... Why be an ass? Why go there?  Because every time I think on that occasion, I curse the man.  And yeah, it was a man.  Weeks of already trying to disprove this that and the other had already passed and was still in no way better.  I almost cried in his office. I wasn't about to fight with a man who didn't even want to hear out my case as soon as I sat down.  I mean, I'm sorry for ho...

April Ticks By

Needle mark from my second blood test April ticks by.  I do not want the month to linger, but I don't want it to vanish without my noticing; without me having left my mark on this delineated section of time. I pressure myself to write a blog post and publish it before the month ends. I have to make up for the negativity of my last post . It was a downer. That was the truth of the state I was in. But no longer. Here is my good news:  Summary:  New computer.  I am no longer battling three infections.

test results are in - one in a million, kid

Ask me what I did in 2017.  I can tell you that I got a big raise. I can say I was on international TV. I  took trips to New Orleans and Montreal, Canada. I spent some time in L.A.  I performed on stages. I made stop motion videos shown in an art gallery...  I can also say that my body was artistic all on it's own. It   grew a tumor. This thing appeared overnight in February. It itched occasionally. It was something I could actually feel change inside my skin. For a little while I even thought it might be a parasite.  Since It was located on my chest I, naturally, went to have it checked out at a 'boob clinic.'  The woman who 'saw' me went on to make backhanded insinuations that I was overreacting. I guess, to her,  I was just behaving like so many hysterical women who come running into the clinic and waste time fussing with every little thing. Because they read too much on the Internet.  Yeah. This super...

The Story of the Buddha All In Khmer While I Slept

El Roco looking the way I still kinda feel.  Yesterday was a little horrific for my delicate temperament. I almost burned the house down! I figure it was high time to prove I had survived Las Posadas and Nuevo Ano with the cousins, a pig roast, el pavo cocido durante seis horas, bacalao, alpiste, epazote, posole, apple strudel and being surrounded by lengthy garlands of tripe (oh, I DO have an imagination!)--  I had survived all that and was able to get back to work! So I started in on this and that in cyberspace, feeling like I could slip back into things with gusto. More time passed than I knew and I remember that I wanted to make some tea. Then it hit me, I had some water on to boil! I went to the kitchen to find toxic smoke and fire on the counter where there should have been just a kettle belching steam. Letting the magic of adrenaline do it's thing, I speedily put out the flames, unplugged what was left of the kettle an...
